Welcome to Ballot News, a news website sponsored by Ballotpedia.
Ballotpedia, an edited wiki, covers state and local ballot measures, state legislators and other state-level politicians, school bond and tax votes, and state policy issues. It was launched in May 2007. Its content is developed in a collaboration between Ballotpedia’s staff and volunteer editors who sign up on the site. As of July 2010, more than 2,100 people have registered on the site.
Ballot News is a news project of Ballotpedia. Content on Ballot News is prepared by Ballotpedia staff, all of whom are required to adhere to the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics.
Ballot News and Ballotpedia are sponsored by the Lucy Burns Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. This non-profit, non-partisan organization was founded in 2006.
